This was taken in the "dying" village of Avenatu on the Island of Chios, Greece. I was walking up this decrepit walkway and came across this table of vegetables, spices and canned goods. The family there consisted of an older couple and their mother or mother-in-law (YaYa). The table was colorful and abundant yet very simple. It is a shame that there are only about 10-15 families left in the entire village.
